Who's behind Whittle Websites?

(Sam, that's who!)
Why whittle websites?
Giving website feedback is something I like to do. It's fun for me!
I get antsy when I'm working closely with someone and notice an issue with their website. I end up making videos offering feedback (with their permission). Then I get their website password, then I start making changes myself — the edits are inevitable.
So I figured, why not make a business out of it?
My professional background includes 8+ years working in marketing and public relations.
During that time, I was primarily a content writer and copy editor. In a typical 9-5 setting, that's a catch-all for writer + editor + social media person + website reviewer + style guide creator + communications strategist + ... (you get the idea).
We all know how AI has impacted the workforce post-COVID. I knew copywriting as a profession would be forever changed, and truthfully, I didn't want to be a full-time writer anymore anyway.
But I still had all this knowledge about SEO and content and storytelling that needed to be applied somewhere. So here we are!

At the end of the day, website success is all about knowing your goals, telling your story concisely, guiding your visitor down a certain path — whether that's making a purchase, donating, or signing up — and doing it in a way that search engines can crawl so the right people can find your website organically.
If you're running paid ads that are directing web traffic to a landing page, that's something we can talk about too.
